Why We Invest in 5S Training: More Than Just “Tidying Up”

For us, 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) is far from a one-time “clean-up campaign”—it’s a systematic approach to reducing waste, improving productivity, and boosting workplace safety. Prior to the training, while many team members had basic knowledge of 5S, we identified opportunities to bridge the gap between “knowing” and “doing”: for example, optimizing tool placement on production lines to cut search time, streamlining office document storage to avoid delays, and standardizing cleaning routines to maintain consistency.

This training was designed to address these needs—turning abstract 5S concepts into actionable habits, and helping every employee see how their small actions (like sorting unnecessary items or labeling storage areas) contribute to the company’s overall goals.
